Michigan Electronic Library:  The Michigan Electronic Library (MeL) provides access to thousands of electronic resources and eBooks for Michigan residents.  To find resources most beneficial to your assignments, click on eResources at the the top of the page, then, scroll down and click on "see more" in the K12 Schools box.  Next, you'll click on "Teen."  Your best bet for a starting point will likely be "Explora for High Schools."

  • Cambridge Dictionary Online:  The Cambridge Dictionary is another well-respected print dictionary with a lot of history behind it that has a web counterpart. The online version is made up of four dictionaries: the Cambridge Dictionary of American English, the Cambridge Learner’s Dictionary, the Cambridge International Dictionary of Phrasal Verbs and the Cambridge International Dictionary of Idioms.
  • Dictionary by Merriam Webster:  For more than 150 years, in print and now online, Merriam-Webster has been America's leading and most-trusted provider of language information.
  • Google Translate:   The site translates between languages automatically and offers a text box that can accommodate input texts of any size. It also allows users to select the input method, keyboard option, and handwriting. The platform boasts over 100 languages and a plethora of other features, such as the ability to share, save, listening to, and copy the translated text.
  • Reverso:  Reverso is a cutting-edge website that automatically translates texts from one language to the next. The site’s most outstanding feature is the context translation. Below the translated text, there is a box that features additional examples of how the translation might have turned out if the input text was slightly different. This website also features an on-screen keyboard and allows users to listen to the translated text.
  • Visuwords:  This online graphical dictionary creates diagrams between words and concepts to help you understand how they associate.
  • Yandex Translate:  Yandex Translate is a top-tier platform that allows users to translate texts, websites, and even images. This site boasts an attractive interface, fast performance, and translations for several languages. Besides, the website is not only ideal for a one-time lookup but also for learning new languages. The platform has a feature that suggests fixes to bad translations and can support texts of up to 10,000 characters. Additionally, it allows you to swap between two languages with a single button.
