Help Within the Community

In these tough economic times, many families are facing or have experienced the loss of jobs, health care, and other necessary supports. The following is a list of agencies to contact if you or someone you know is feeling the effects of this economic crisis:

LCPS Student Advocacy Program:

L'Anse Creuse and Michigan Works have partnered together to offer eligible students a program that can help remove barriers that hinder success. Students in this program have improved their academic achievements, leading to high school completion and work readiness skills.

Student Insurance Assistance

L'Anse Creuse Public Schools does not provide accident insurance for students.  The district does not pay medical bills for students involved in accidents, at school, or while participating in athletic activities.  Parents may wish to contact their own insurance carrier for information on coverage.  In addition to Information on low cost health care coverage for uninsured families, information is provided for free health care coverage for pregnant women, babies, and children under age 19.
