National Junior Honor Society

The National Junior Honor Society is a service organization composed of students chosen from the school's seventh and eighth grade honor roll. It is a chapter of the National Junior Honor Society.

All members are evaluated in five areas: scholastic, leadership, citizenship, character and service. Evaluations of new and old members occur at the end of each marking period. The advisor, with the consultation of other teachers, determines the final membership. Minimal requirements for consideration are a 3.4 grade point average and a good citizenship ranking. New members are inducted each spring.

Failure to maintain a 3.4 GPA or a good citizenship ranking results first in a warning letter and secondly, at the next occurrence, removal from the Society. Failure to maintain the other three areas can result in removal determined by the severity of the offence.
