Infectious and Communicable Diseases

While mumps, chicken pox and other childhood diseases don't concern most of us as much as they once did, they can be deadly serious business to some of our students who have little or no resistance to them. If your son or daughter comes down with such a disease, please call us as soon as possible. We, in turn, will contact the parents of any students with special needs.

A second cause for concern lies in our ability to deal with some of the nuisance diseases, such as scabies or head lice. It is no shame to contract these diseases. They need to de dealt with in a speedy and efficient manner. Here, too, we can be of assistance, but you must let us know as soon as possible. Students must be segregated from the school population and should be kept home if they contract these diseases.
