Fourth Grade

     Welcome to Mrs. Zeigler's Fourth Grade Class at Yacks Elementary.  I have been teaching in the L'Anse Creuse Public Schools for the past 13 years at the elementary level.  I graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelors in Science in secondary ecducation, continued at the University of Michigan to earn a 30 hour elementary endorsement and completed a Masters of Teaching and Learning from Nova Southeastern University. I have also completed 2 years of the Aspiring Leadership Academy directed by the L'Anse Creuse Administration.  In addition I continue to attend classes that keep me up dated in my field through the district and at the MISD.

Curriculum

     The Fourth Grade Science Curriculum includes the study of Energy, Space and Time and Living Science. The Social Studies Curriculum covers the regions in our great country along with the incorporation of  geography, economics, civics and government. Reading and Writing curriculum follows the continuation of current strategies that take the student through continuous progress at the students individual level.  The Math Curriculum follows the state standards and benchmarks at the fourth grade level referring to the Everyday Math Learning series.

I have enjoyed teaching in the L'Anse Cruese District and meeting new students and parents.
