Dr. Betty J. Kozma

Welcome to Donald J. Yacks Elementary. This is my sixth year as principal of Yacks and a total of nine years as an elementary prinicpal. I earned my Doctor of Philosophy degree from Oakland University in the area of Educational Leadership and an Education Specialist degree in School Administration.

At Yacks elementary we are proud to call ourselves a Professional Learning Communities (PLC)school in which we put learning first. We work in collaboration with staff and parents to support a strong curriculum and postiive behavior. Our school motto is: Working for all....Whatever it takes. We follow the Fish! philosophy and have created the Fish Five Rules: Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Safe, Be Kind, Be In-control.

Our students have many opportunities of involvement at Yacks including:
