Welcome to Mrs. Balch's Site!!

I am currently teaching a wonderful 5th grade class at Yacks Elementary. This is my first year of teaching in the L'Anse Creuse Public School District.  I have previously taught science and language arts in a sixth grade full time subbing position.  In 2006 I received a bachelor degree in elementary education with a major in science and a minor in language arts from Oakland University and am currently pursuing a Masters degree in reading and language arts instruction.  My hobbies include playing guitar, clarinet, and spending time with friends and family. I truly ENJOY teaching!! My main goal is for every child in my classroom to succeed!!

Recent Events:

The fifth graders had an amazing time on their end of the year trip!  Congratulations to all of our Yacks fifth graders for their AMAZING behavior!!

A huge thank you to all of our parent and community volunteers for helping to make the day such a success!!
