Third-Graders Celebrate Native American Culture

Third-graders at Donald J. Yacks Elementary School celebrate Native American culture Oct. 26 at 10:30 a.m.  Students will dress up as one of the Three Fires Tribe and read stories they wrote about these tribes, as others wear their wampum and display their wigwams.  In addition, students will sample Michigan maple syrup as they enjoy a Native American breakfast celebration.  The study of Michigan is part of the third-grade curriculum in L’Anse Creuse.  For more information, please contact Claudia Dichtel at dichtcl@lc-ps.org
