Fables

AesopSite (K-5)

Author and illustrator, Tom Lynch brings four of Aesop's most famous fables to life.  Students will surely enjoy these fully animated and narrated fable adaptations.

Create Your Own Scenario (K-2)

Students are provided with a scene of several animals.  Given the chance to create their own scenario, students are prompted to write a brief description of their scene and also write dialogue for their characters.  Once completed, students can click the "generate my scenario" button to watch their scene come to life.  This website lends itself very well to both fantasy and fable writing!

Fables for You and Me (3-5)

The purpose of this web page is to give students a sampling of fables from various cultures. A list of thought provoking questions accompanies each fable.

Index of Fables (3-5)

This online collection of fables is geared towards students in grades 3-5.  Several of these online stories provide assessment questions and further activities.

University of Massachusetts Aesop's Fables (K-5)
