Getting to know...Mrs. Metzger

Hi!  Let me tell you a little bit about myself.  I grew up in Harrison Township and attended L'Anse Creuse Public Schools. Upon completion of high school I attended Michigan State University. I graduated with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Earth Science in 2001. 

While attending Michigan State University, I was part of the IZZONE, the student run basketball fan section. It was really awesome to travel to the Final Four in Minnesota, Florida, and Indianapolis to cheer on the team. GO STATE!

This is my 8th year of teaching elementary in L'Anse Creuse. I started teaching at Yacks Elementary in a K-1-2 multiage classroom. I then moved down the street to Tenniswood Elementary where I have taught 1st and 2nd grade.

I am married to another L'Anse Creuse graduate and we are the proud parents of a 2 year old son. We are so excited to be welcoming our second child to our family this July. We are sure going to have a busy summer.
