Construction Update for November 2006

Whats Happening:

  • Metal trusses in area C of the building have been set.
  • Pre-cast concrete flooring panels for the second floor have been set. (see photo at left)
  • The roof enclosure (metal deck and plywood) over the gym and cafeteria is complete.
  • Construction of the masonry walls for the second floor has begun.
  • Installation of duct work in the classrooms has begun.
  • Installation of underground storm piping has begun.
  • Installation of main stairwells has begun.
  • Doors and windows have been enclosed to provide temporary heat for contractors to continue work.

Phase I May 2005—February 2006

Design and planning - Completed

Phase II April 2006—August 2007

Construction of new building

Phase III June 2007— October 2007
