About Mrs. Rafferty...

I grew up in Sterling Heights and went to Utica Community Schools.  I have gone to school for more years than I care to remember...I got my first degree in Journalism from Central Michigan University.  I then realized my life's dream and went back to school to become a teacher.  I graduated from Oakland University in 1999 and was fortunately hired immediately as a fifth grade teacher in L'Anse Creuse.  In 2003, I graduated from Saginaw Valley with a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, and have since taken a few years off from continuing my own education and have been focusing on my family.

I've been married for eight years, and on June 15th, 2004, my husband and I added our first addition to our family: our daughter Ryelyn Grace.   Last year, we had our second daughter, Kennedy Rose, who celebrated her first birthday on October 11, 2007.  They both keep us very busy and extremely happy.

I've been blessed in life with a good family, fulfilling career, and many wonderful friends.
