Homework Folders

Your child has a yellow homework folder that travels back and forth to school daily.  Please check this folder every night and remove any papers.  Place any notes, lunch money, book orders, or completed homework into the folder.  Mrs. Slifco checks the folders every morning.

Kindergarten Homework

Every Monday a new Math Home Links sheet will go home.  Please complete the activity with your child, sign it, and return it on Friday.  Also on Monday, your child will bring home a book report which is due on Friday.  If your child is unable to check out a new book, please choose a book from home for the book report.  From time to time other homework may come home, including papers needing a "redo."

Monthly Reading Log

Once a month your child will bring home a reading log.  Please record the titles of ten books you have read that month and return the form to school.  Your child will receive a certificate and a sticker.  From October through March, we will be participating in the Pizza Hut Book It program.  The ten books a month will meet the goal, so your child will also receive a coupon for a free personal pan pizza.  You are encouraged to read even more than ten books, especially as the school year progresses.  Just add more titles to the back of the reading log.  Happy Reading!
