SOUTH RIVER FITNESS CLUB
One of the many ways the L’Anse Creuse elementary physical education program promotes daily exercise is through our Fitness Club. Each month each student will receive a fitness calendar. The idea of the calendar is to encourage our students to take part in some type of exercise everyday. The sooner students, and people in general, start acquiring good, healthy habits such as daily exercise, the more likely people will continue the good habits throughout their lives. The calendar is simple. Students perform the exercise or activity listed on the calendar each day and circles it when they have completed it. Students who have completed 20 or more days may turn in the calendar with a parent/guardian signature. Students will receive a token of achievement for each month completed. Students who have completed 7 or more months throughout the school year will be invited to the end of the year fitness club celebration. Fitness calendars will be sent home at the end of each month and completed calendars are due back during the week after the month's final day. Calendars can also be downloaded from this page (upper right column of this page). Please feel free to join in with your child and participate in the exercises and activities.
