Student Receives Grant From National FFA Organization

Kristina H. of Clinton Township received a $500 grant from the National FFA Organization to initiate or improve her career development experience known as a Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE).  Kristina, a senior from L’Anse Creuse High School, is enrolled in the Agriscience and Natural Resources class at the Frederick V. Pankow Center and is a member of FFA, an organization dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education, according to their Web site.  Kristina plans to improve the atrium at L’Anse Creuse Middle School  Central in Harrison Township and hopes to begin a middle school FFA program.  For more information, contact Shirley Tautolo, agriscience teacher, at 586-783-6570 ext. 1371 or at tautosh@lc-ps.org.
