Simulated Car Crash
The Law Enforcement classes at the Frederick V. Pankow Center will hold a simulated car crash in the back parking lot of the Pankow Center May 7 at 9:30 a.m. to put into practice what they’ve learned in class. Two cars donated by local towing companies will be placed as if they were in a collision. Seniors will respond as professional rescuers (police, paramedics and firefighters) as they are assisted by local agencies. In the past, they have included the Chesterfield Township Police Department, Clinton Township Police Department, Clinton Township Fire Department, Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, Harrison Township Fire Department and Medstar Ambulance. "The professionals will walk alongside students advising as needed," said Thomas Grindem, law enforcement teacher.
