969 CAD/DRAFTING TECHNOLOGY
Credit 2.0/year Grades 10 - 11 -12 Qualifies for Math Related Credit Recommended courses: 2 years Math, English and Science.
All courses in this program feature STEM-based curriculum and technology. Software for first year students includes Auto CAD LT and ProDesktop. Second year students will select from ProE or CATIA/Delmia. This is a certificate based program (1 or 2- year). These hands-on courses place students at computer workstations in the same room as our state-of-the-industry scale model build lab. End of semester projects involve students in real world Design and Build experiences.
Introduction to Architectural Design Architectural Design is at the heart of all commercial and residential building projects. If you have ever thought of designing your own home this course is a great place to start. This class emphasizes Architectural Design 3D Computer-Aided-Design (CAD).
Introduction to Mechanical Design Mechanical Design/Engineering is still one of the fastest growing/highest paying jobs today. If you view yourself as a problemsolver and like working with state-of-the-industry computer aided tools then this course needs to be on your schedule! This class emphasizes Mechanical 3D CAD.

This course focuses on Robotic Design and programming utilizing Computer-Aided-Design and Programming tools.

This course places emphasis on Product Design utilizing Computer-Aided-Design and Manufacturing tools.
NOTE: Successful completion of any of the 969 courses fulfill the high school graduation requirement for a credit in Visual, Performing/Applied Arts or Math-related credit. 3rd or 4th year English credit available.
