BUSINESS MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY
This business course is designed to prepare students for employment in a wide range of business settings. Students will learn management skills by creating their own fictitious business. Students will also learn and expand their knowledge with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access. Other projects include employability skills, business etiquette skills and business ethics. With completion of this 1-year class, students will have the opportunity to take the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exam (at own expense).
NOTE: Successful completion of this course fulfills the 2011 high school graduation requirement for a credit in Visual, Performing or Applied Arts.

Externship (co-op) eligible program.
Course Objective: Students will develop basic skills for the office management field as well as those needed to take the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exam and workplace competencies upon completion of this course. Student Outcome: Students will have basic office management skills needed for job opportunities in an office environment. They will be able to apply to take the MOS certification test.
