This extensive website of Native American Legends contains over 1,300 stories.  Stories are listed alphabetically by tribe.  This website presents numerous opportunities for comparing and contrasting legends as well we retellings.  Many of the popular Michigan Legends are included within this site.

This unit plan from the Michigan Department of Education provides benchmarks, key concepts, resources, cross-curricular connections and assessment tasks for a comprehensive legend and pourquoi folktales unit.

 

Planet Oz Kids Legends (3-5)

In this creative website, students can come along with Oban the Knowledge Keeper and his friends to learn about various animal legends.  In addition to several animal stories, students can find printables, online games, and brainteasers.
