Let me introduce myself, this will be my 23rd year teaching and my 14th year teaching in L'Anse Creuse.  I began as a preschool teacher for the district and then started teaching kindergarten eight years ago.  Last year was my first year teaching full day kindergarten.  My husband and I have 2 boys.  My oldest is heading to
U of M this fall and my youngest is in

A Day in Full Day Kindergarten

You are probably wondering what we will be doing all day! Each day has the same basic elements but the schedule depends on our specials, parapro schedule and literacy block. We have a balance of small group activities and whole group activities.  Some things we will do each day:  literacy centers, kindergarten centers, shared book, shared writing, specials, outdoor play, quiet reading, lunch/recess, math, calendar and more!  Throughout the week we will also have library checkout, computer lab, gym, music, kindergarten enrichment and media instruction. I will send home a newsletter each Friday, that details what we have done, what's coming up, and a list of  dates to remember.
