Children who struggle to learn their letter sounds do better if they can use all of their senses.

Try these ideas at home:

Have your child chant “a says /a/ as in apple” while they trace the letter…

-    In sand

-    On sand paper

-         In shaving cream

-         In the bathtub on the wall

-         On someone’s back

-         In the air

-         On a table

-         On a chalk board

-         With wicky sticks
