Let's Get to Know Ms. Yope

Hello my name is Dorothy Yope and I have been a resource room teacher here at Lobbestael since 1994. I grew up in Sterling Heights and graduated from Henry Ford II High School. I continued my education at Western Michigan University where I graduated with my teaching degree in special and general elementary education. I briefly taught middle school special education in the Goodrich and Merrill School Districts, before settling here in L’Anse Creuse.  In 1997 I graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching from Saginaw Valley State University. I feel one of my greatest accomplishments has been earning my Masters in Counseling degree from Oakland University. I am licensed to be a school counselor and am completing the requirements to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Please feel free to get in touch with me at yopedo@lc-ps.org
