I teach 8th grade science. I also coach the 7th grade boys basketball team and run the morning intramural basketball, volleyball, floor hockey and in-door soccer.

Monday, October 15 and Tuesday, October 16 is the science MEAP. Make sure to get plenty of rest so you can do your best!
After that and going until Winter Recess we will be studying Astronomy. The following are main objectives that will be covered:

Formation and age of the Universe

The Sun, including patterns in solar activity and how stars produce energy

Hertzsprung-Russell diagram to identify stars distance, make-up, life span, etc.

Formation of the Earth and its atmosphere
In addition, there will be some minor subtopics that will also be discussed.
