About Mr. Blum

I was born on February 22, 1979 at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital.  I lived in Troy while growing up, and graduated from Troy High School in 1997.  Following high school, I attended Western Michigan University, and graduated in December of 2002. 

This is my 4th year of teaching Physical Education at the middle school level.  I am also the 8th grade boy's basketball coach here at MS South.  I am persuing my master's degree in School Principalship from Saginaw Valley State University.

My wife Heather is also in education, she is a school counselor for grades 7 through 12, at Harper Woods Secondary School.  Heather attended Kalamazoo College and just recently recieved her masters degree from Oakland University.  We began dating our senior year of high school, were married in 2003, and recently had our first son, Connor, on June 19, 2006.  We also have two dogs, named Rocky and Adrian.

I am in the job that I have always wanted, I try to make the most out of each and every day by having fun and getting to know the students.   When students enter the gym at Middle School South, they need to be ready to work hard and have fun.
