Eighth Grader Wins First Place in Oratorical Contest

Max Rose, an eighth-grader at L’Anse Creuse Middle School  South, won first place in the Clinton Township Area Optimists Club’s Oratorical Contest March 15 at the Clinton-Macomb Public Library in Clinton Township.  This year’s topic was Why Me? Why Not?  Rose addressed the topic by outlining his career goal of becoming a shoe designer for Nike. Rose received a medal and is invited to attend an awards breakfast at the Mirage Banquet Center April 23.  For more information, contact Margo Schuch, teacher, at schucma@lc-ps.org or at 586-493-5620.
