Star Math
The research resources below are a part of the Michigan Electronic Library, or, MeL. From any school or public library, a password is not needed. However, in order to access these resources from home, students will be required to enter a valid public library card number or MI Driver’s License number.
CultureGrams: A comprehensive full-text source for information on countries across the globe. CultureGrams contains video, audio, text, photographs, graphs, charts and much more!
eLibrary: Contains thousands of magazine & newspaper articles, maps, photographs, encyclopedia entries and more. Includes unique features such as reading level of articles, spell check, and an integrated dictionary.
InfoTrac Junior Edition: Provides access to various resources including magazine & newspaper articles, reference books, maps photos and more. Each article includes a word count as well as a Lexile level.
Kids InfoBits: This comprehensive database covers science, math, history, sports, the arts, and more! With its visually graphic interface, it allows students to search first with a broad topic then use a subject tree to narrow down results.
Opposing Viewpoints in Context: Features opinion and viewpoint articles, videos, and audio on numerous current social issues.
SIRS Discoverer Deluxe: A student database of articles, books, video, and audio on various topics. Includes unique features like student reading levels and teacher guides.
