Jim Maisano - Eighth Grade English
Hello, and welcome to my webpage. My name is Jim Maisano and I am an Eighth-grade English teacher here at Middle School-East.
I have been teaching English for the past 15 years and I thoroughly enjoy my job. I began my career at Middle School-North, and moved over to M.S.E when it opened in the Fall of 2000. Along with teaching 8th grade English, I am also one of the eighth-grade football coaches. We enjoyed a successful 2010 season with a 6 wins and 0 losses making this current group of eighth graders the only athletes to go undefeated in back to back seasons. CONGRATUALTIONS!
I grew up in nearby Sterling Heights, and attended De La Salle Collegiate where I graduated in 1988. I was fortunate enough to earn a football scholarship to Saginaw Valley State University where I received my bachelors degree in English in 1992 along with a minor in criminal justice. I attended graduate school at Wayne State University and earned a second minor in social studies along with my teacher certification and master's degree. I was then even more fortunate to get hired by this wonderful district and I am very greatful for the opportunity. I look forward to many more enjoyable and fulfilling years working with the L'Anse Creuse community.
