Students Learn About Chicken Development

L’Anse Creuse Middle School - East seventh-graders will be visited by a farmer and her chickens April 28 to discuss chicken development, hatching chicks, genetics of chickens and classification of chickens.  This fits into our unit on classification and taxonomy, or comparing the systems of chickens to humans, or our genetics unit, said Dr. Heidi Reed.  No matter where we are in our science curriculum, this presentation should be very informative.  The presentations run throughout the day in the KIVA at Middle School-East, which is located at 30300 Hickey Road.  For more information, contact Dr. Reed at 586-493-5200 or at vonoehe@lc-ps.org.
