About Mr. Springer

I teach 6th and 8th grade social studies.  I have been teaching 19 years, 9 of which were in the elementary grades.  I graduated from Michigan State University in 1991 with a degree in social studies education.  I have a Master's Degree from Wayne State University in Educational Leadership, which I earned in 1995.  I also earned an Education Specialist Degree in 2003 from Wayne State University in Curriculum Development.  I have a seven year old daughter who is in 2nd grade.  I love history!  It is more than just my job, it is also my hobby.  I love reading history books, watching The History Channel, the Military Channel, National Geographic Channel and PBS.  History movies are another passion of mine, especially Civil War movies.
