NEED A LIFT? This book is available in the Counseling Office. It gives specific information on 1,400 colleges and universities around the nation, information on scholarship online resources, such as www.srnexpress.com This particular website provides access to additional scholarships, grants and loans based upon the student's major, college selected, interests and/or hobbies. Need A Lift contains extensive information on scholarships for veteran's dependents.. See the information under "American Legion" in the A-H section of Scholarships for information on ordering the book if you are interested or you may view it for free online at www.needalift.org or in the Counseling Office.

You can then search for scholarships by name,
LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION PACKET is available each year beginning in March. Various local organizations including groups within the L'Anse Creuse school district offer scholarship opportunities to seniors. Applications are due back the last Friday of March.

In addition, the Career Cruising site has several scholarship offerings. Contact your High School counselor for information about how to log into the program.
www.college.gov is a new resource designed by students for students and features information on overcoming financial barriers, peer pressure and other problems facing college students. It also provides information on such topics as how to pay for college and the application and enrollment process.
