AP Government
We are currently working on the Executive Branch. The students have a reading "Presidential Character." There are questions in the sylabus that need to be answered by December 14.
My classes are lecture oriented. I will let the students know where we are at in the book and will assign them to read that section and the next. Students are required to keep a daily notebook. These are the basic notes that everyone should have. In class, while explaining the presentation, I will occasionally add material that I feel is relevant. This information should be in their notebooks as well. Also, students are responsible for any vocabulary that is specifically mentioned in the chapter. The vocabulary can be found at the beginning of the sections of each chapter, and is listed as Key Terms
We will have quizzes on Fridays. Students will be able to use their notes for these quizzes.
We will be watching a few videos this year.Mr. Smith Goes to Washington; The Vernon Johns Story; Separate but Equal, and others. Students will be given Focus Questions to answer as the video is played.
Current Homework
Government - Vocabulary for Chapter 6 should be in their notebooks.
AP Government - Assessment possibilities for the Executive Branch will be next week (Dec 13).
