Two Students signing with College for Creative Studies in Detroit

L’Anse Creuse High School - North seniors Elsie M and Frank Z, both of Chesterfield, will be signing letters of intent to attend the College for Creative Studies in Detroit May 8 at 2:30 p.m. in the James Nazarko Library at North.  The two art students are receiving $40,000 scholarships. 
 Frank recently received the American Vision Award from The Scholastic Art Awards for his "Little Teapot" oil pastel and will attend the National Scholastic Art Awards ceremony at Carnegie Hall in New York in June.  Kyle M, of Chesterfield, won a National Gold Key Award for his "Reflection Bowl" oil pastel from Scholastic and is invited to attend the New York ceremony also.  Their artwork is on display in New York at the American Visions & Voices Exhibition at Broadway Gallery and the Gold Award Exhibition at the Reeves Contemporary, Chelsea.  For more information, contact Pat Willoughby or Diane Rapaich at 586-493-5270
