HS Students Display Art at Scholastics Art Competition

Art and photography students from L’Anse Creuse High School-North and L’Anse Creuse High School will have their works displayed at the 2010 Macomb, Lapeer, and St. Clair Regional Scholastics Art Competition at the Macomb Community College’s Lorenzo Cultural Center Feb. 2-16, Wednesday through Saturday each week. 
 High School-North won six gold keys of the 75 awarded and seven silver keys of the 75 awarded.  One gold key winner, Jessica P., a senior, won one of the five American Visions Awards. In addition, seniors Blake B. and Brittany C. received gold keys for their art portfolios.  Gold key winners will have their pieces forwarded to New York for further judging.
 From L’Anse Creuse High School, seniors Andrea P., Paige B., Mercedes F. and Savanah T. received gold keys for their photo portfolios, and five students earned silver keys for their art.  For more information, contact Paula Rose at 586-783-6300 ext. 1214.
