Proceeds From Powder Puff Game go to ALS Institute
The L’Anse Creuse High School North student council voted to donate the proceeds from the annual Powder Puff (girls vs. girls) football game to the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALS TDI), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also called Lou Gehrig's disease, which is a progressive neuromuscular disease that weakens and eventually destroys motor neurons (components of the nervous system that connect the brain with the skeletal muscles). The students donated $2,122 by selling admission tickets and for refreshments. For more information, please contact Lalla Jones or Lori Oneal at 586-493-5270.
