Art Work Exhibited in Washington D.C.

 

On Sept. 8, 2008, L’Anse Creuse High School – North art teacher Diane Rapaich received notice that Francesco Z. a 2008 graduate, will have his national award-winning artwork, Little Teapot, from The Scholastic Art Awards exhibited in Washington, D.C.  A ribbon cutting ceremony will recognize Francesco of Chesterfield Township and other national award winners Oct. 7 at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Department of Education Building, which will be attended by the Executive Director of National Arts Education Association, Deputy Director of the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, and Executive Director of the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers.  Francesco studies at the College for Creative Studies where he received a $40,000 scholarship last year.
