  • CQ Researcher  Contains original, unbiased, comprehensive reporting and analysis on issues in the news.  Each article has a pro/con discussion. 
  • CultureGrams  A great source of information about cultures and countries.
  • Gale Databases Power Search  Cross-search a large variety of databases all at once, as well as the e-books purchased by LCHS. 
  • LCHS E-Book Collection  Search our online reference book collection by keyword.  
  • Opposing Viewpoints Contains essays and viewpoints presenting both sides of controversial topics.
  • Student Resource Center Gold  Reliable information on most topics from newspapers, journals and reference sources.
  • World Book Encyclopedia Online Encyclopedia articles at your fingertips.

     E-Library  A safe and up-to-date database of information for searching books, magazines, radio and TV broadcasts.  Many articles show Lexiles.   

    Library Spot 25,000 References  Brings the best library and reference sites together with insightful editorial in one convenient, user-friendly spot.  

    Michigan Electronic Library (MEL)  A collection of databases and previewed web sites provided at no charge to Michigan residents.

    OCLC First Search  Information about a wide range of subjects in 13 databases. From an LCPS computer, click on the link on the right: "Log-on via IP Recognition."

    Public Agenda Online  Use this site for opinion polls and non-partisan briefing on many social issues.

    SIRS Discoverer  Easy-to-use database for newspaper and magazine articles.  Many articles show Lexiles.
