University Scholarship and Enrollment Auditions!
University School of Music List of Links
The link above lists the html link of almost every school of music in the United States.
When preparing to audition for acceptance to a University School of Music, please be aware of the following important items:
- Each university faculty will have their own requirements for the audition. Check these requirements carefully.
- Each University also will have a limited number of audition dates scheduled. Sign up early. As a general rule, each studio will begin passing out scholarships on the first audition day and when it is gone, it is gone. No matter how amazing that late audition plays, if the scholarship money is gone, rarley do they have access to more funds. They tend to do this because when the scholarship monies are issued early, they are generally not subject to budget cuts.
- Use ALL of your resources. Get help from as many sources as possible. The more input during your preparation, the more likely you are to play well at your audition.
- Practice! Today's practice time is tomorrow's scholarship. When you are well prepared, the scholarship money is very good compensation and well worth each hour of effort.
