Educational Background: Ms. Benavides is an alumni of L'Anse Creuse High School; Valedictorian, Class of 1999.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Wayne State University in 2003 with a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education with a major in Social Studies and minor in Mathematics.  In addition, she completed her M.ED. in Principalship in August of 2009

After student teaching at her alma mater, she was hired back at L'Anse Creuse High School to teach in the Social Studies department.  She currently teaches AP World History and AP US History for college-bound 11th and 12th grade students.  She is also the Social Studies Teacher Leader.
