Professional Experience I have been teaching at L'Anse Creuse High School since 1986. For the most part, I have taught physics and/or served as our building's Technology Coordinator. Over the years, I have also served as Science Department Chair, Student Council Advisor, Class Sponsor, National Honor Society Advisor, and Science Olympiad Coach. I have also taught a technology course for future teachers at Oakland University and am currently teaching AP Physics for Michigan Virtual University.
Personal My husband, Tom, is a former LCHS graduate and an ex-physics teacher. He is currently the Energy Manager for Utica Community Schools. My daughter Melissa is a junior at Eisenhower High School and my daughter Elizabeth is in the 9th grade at Malow Junior High. We also had a son, Jonathan, who died of neuroblastoma - a rare childhood cancer - at the age of four in December of 2000. As a result, my husband and I are very active in Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Michigan.
Hobbies In my spare time (which is extrememly rare!) I enjoy reading, playing on the computer, scrapbooking, decorating, and shopping. At the other extreme, I hate winter, camping, and all modes of transporation. As always, physics is my life!!
