L’Anse Creuse High School Broadcast Club Receives Grant

The Detroit Sports Broadcasters Association (DSBA) granted $3,152.73 to the L’Anse Creuse High School’s broadcast and media club July 14, 2008, at the 22nd Annual DSBA Charity Golf Scramble in Shelby Township.
 The grant will be used to purchase equipment such as a mini DVD recorder, controller for Panasonic DV cameras, tripods and headsets.  Teacher Steve Miller sponsors the club at L’Anse Creuse High School. 
“Our club produces a weekly news program called Creuse Control, which is totally student run, said Miller.  We feature sports highlights, community service events, happenings throughout the district, and staff interviews.   Another great feature of our club is that we can run live feeds and broadcast events as they happen throughout the high school, such as our sporting events, added Miller.
