 NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

NHS Meeting:  Tuesday, May 20 at 2:30 in the Cafeteria

Juniors:  If you want your membership to continue into your Senior year, you must turn in verification of your NHS community service to Ms. Patterson by the first week of the 08-09 school year.

Some Spring Community Service Opportunities:

LCHS Courtyard Clean-up:  Sat. May 10. See Mrs. Grifka (Rm. 230) for details.

Clinton River Clean-up:  Sat. May 10.  See Mrs. Marek (Rm. 217) for more info.

Manatee Walk/Run:  Sat. May 17.  See Ms. Argiri (Rm. 111) to register.

Remember that attending meetings and doing NHS community service is part of maintaining your membership!

The L'Anse Creuse Chapter of the National Honor Society is comprised of Junior and Seniors with a cumulative 3.3 GPA or above, who have chosen to become members  and have good teacher recommendations.     

Membership is based on Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character. 

All members are required to perform a minimum  of one NHS community service activity each year that does not go toward regular graduation requirements.  Extra community service is highly encouraged! Members must also attend meetings and maintain their GPA and good citizenship.  In addition, members participate in occasional fundraising efforts.

Officers for the 2008-2009 school year are:  Katie N., Katie H. and Heather N.
