Our MAHS State Charity for '09-'10

Dance Marathon at the University of Michigan

Click the link above to read about the charity that members of the Michigan Association of Honor Societies (including us) are helping this year.  This charity raises funds for pediatric rehabilitation programs.

Thanks to everyone who helped make our first ever Mr. Lancer fundraiser a huge success!  Over $2700 was raised for our state charity, DMUM.  We won the Exceptional Service Project Award for this event at our MAHS State conference!

The L'Anse Creuse Chapter of the National Honor Society is comprised of Junior and Seniors with a cumulative 3.3 GPA or above, who have chosen to become members  and have good teacher recommendations.

Membership is based on Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Character.

All members are required to perform a minimum  of one NHS community service activity each year (or the equivalent of 4 hours) that does not go toward regular graduation requirements.  Extra community service is highly encouraged and can earn you an honor cord.  Members must also attend meetings and maintain their GPA and good citizenship.  In addition, members participate in occasional fundraising efforts.
