Students at LCHS have access at home and school to CareerCruising, a web-based career exploration and planning tool that your child uses to explore career and college options and create a comprehensive Educational Development Plan (EDP). Additional features of the program include: Interest and Skills Assessments, Detailed Career Profiles, Multimedia Interviews, College and Financial Aid Information, and a Resume Builder. Students learn how to use Career Cruising at school then access it at home or school to gain information and update their EDP’s. This is a great resource for seniors who are in the process of applying for colleges, trade schools, jobs, etc. All seniors at LCHS recently updated their EDP’s. Seniors: You should try to have all your college applications complete by November 1st. If you apply online, be sure to print and submit the counselor page to Mrs. Witkowski. An application procedure form is available in the counseling office. Transcripts are automatically sent to all colleges that you apply to at the end of the 7th and 8th semesters.
Senior Parents: The Annual Financial Aid Parent Information Meeting will be held at the John Armstrong Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. This is a very important meeting for parents of seniors to attend.
