Honor Cord Requirements
The following Honor Cords symbolize a 3.3 or above average for a four year period of time:
Gold cords represent overall academic Grade Point Average of 3.0-3.499
Dark Green cords represent Instrumental Music
Pink cords represent Vocal Music
White cords represent a GPA in English of 3.5
White and Silver represents a GPA in English of 4.0
Red cords represent World Language
Lavender cords represent Mathematics
Burgundy cords represent Science
Burgundy and Gold represent 4.0 in Science
Purple cords represent Social Studies
The following Honor Cord symbolize a GPA of 3.3 or above average for a three year period of time:
Royal Blue cords represent Business
In addition, these cords symbolize other honors:
Multi – Colored cords represent membership in National Art Honor Society
Gold and Royal Blue cords represent membership in National Honor Society
Purple and Silver cords represent membership in National Vocational Honor Society
Burgundy and Silver cords represent Pankow Vocational Technical Center
Royal Blue cords represent Health Occupations Students of America
Light Blue cords represent a Seniors Honor Project
Royal Blue and Gray cords represent Student Council
Green and White cords represent 80+ hours of Community Service

Lavender and Gold cords represent membership in Mu Alpha Theta (National Math Honor Society)

Community Service Learning
Students who have served 100 or more hours receive a President’s Student Service Certificate and a gold pin.
Graduation Honors
Cum Laude graduates have achieved a GPA of 3.0-3.499 (gold honor cord)
Honor Medallions will be presented to students who have achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above
Magna Cum Laude graduates have achieved a GPA of 3.5-3.999 (Honor Medallion)
Summa Cum Laude graduates have achieved a GPA 4.0 and above (Honor Medallion)
