Parent Night...
August 31st

Welcome Back!
Boy, where does the time go???  Seems like we were just celebrating our first grade awards.  Here it is three months later!!! 

I hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable summer vacation. 

Wednesday, August 31st is our "Back to School Parent Night".  We will meet and greet at 7:00.  We'll discuss the second grade curriculum and classroom procedures, the kids will have an opportunity to find their new seats and expolore the items in their new desk and you and your child will have the chance to personalize their first writing journal together.
(journals and supplies will be here for you)

Hopefully by getting together before school starts we will relieve some of those first day gitters!

Second Grade suggested supply list:

Backpack
Yellow highlighter
Supply box (approx. 5"x8")
Crayons (no larger than 24-pack)
Scissors
4 or more glue sticks
One box Zip-loc type bags
One box of tissue
One container of Clorox type wipes
One 1-inch three ring binder (no zipper)
$6.00 for Scholastic News Subscription (all grade levels collect for S.N.)
If you'd like to, you may bring these items with you to parent night on Wednesday so your child has less to carry on the first day of school.
