Welcome to Mrs. Kandt's Kindergarten Web Site!

Thank you for visiting my web site.  I would like to provide you with a little information about myself as well some websites (click on Learning Links) for your children to learn through play!  I have been teaching for over 20 years and have enjoyed many different grade levels from preschool through second grade.  I received my bachelor's degree from Western Michigan University, a master's degree from Saginaw Valley University, and a  Educational Specialist degree from Wayne State University. I have taught at Green, Chesterfield and Higgins Elementary. 

 My husband and I have one daughter.  We also all love our dog, Sammy and cat, Sassy.  We enjoy our cottage in the summer months and many sports throughout the school year.

 If you have a child in my classroom, the best way to stay current is by reading my Monday Parent Notes.  I encourage all parents to help their children complete weekly homework and return it to school every Friday. The single most important thing you can do as a parent is to read to your child every day!  I hope your child has a wonderful experience in my kindergarten classroom!
