Welcome to Mrs. Kirk's Webpage
Hello! My name is Kelly Kirk and this will be my seventh year teaching 5th grade at Higgins Elementary. I also was a graduate from L’Anse Creuse Public Schools and am glad to have become a part of this wonderful school district.
I attended Western Michigan University where I received my Bachelors degree. I also recieved a Master's Degree from Saginaw Valley State University in Elementary Education.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family.
Communication between home and school is vital to a successful year. Please feel free to write notes, leave messages on my voice mail, or email me if you have any questions or concerns. The students have a daily assignment book, which will be used to record daily work and homework assignments. The purpose of this book is to inform you of the daily work and ensure that his/her work is completed. Parents are asked to initial the assignment book on a daily basis. I will be checking the books periodically throughout the week.
Birthdays are special days and children are allowed to bring in treats for their classmates. (please make them peanut free) There are currently 31 students in the class.
