Third Grade Class

Upcoming Events:

READING -March is Reading Month!  On the 3rd, we are going to kick off the month with a tribute to Dr. Seuss.  On the 5th, we will be connecting on
TV with another class to promote literacy.  On the 10th, we will be having a visiting author.  Finally, we will conclude with a schoolwide Readathon!

SCIENCE - We have been busy "scientists" demonstrating experiments to the class!

MATH -Students need to practice their multiplication and division facts for speed and accuracy. Congratulations to Kaitlyn, Mya and Natalie on completing timed tests to 12!  We will learn our facts to twelve and celebrate with an icecream party in June!

SOCIAL STUDIES -  We will be exploring our state's government. The third grade will be going  on a TV "virtual field trip" to Lansing on January 31st!

WRITING - Students are writing reports on countries of their origins.  They are doing an excellent job!  Published reports will be presented in portfolios at conference time.  Also,we continuing to use  a new writing program called "Begin With Me".  This program helps  give us reasons to write!  We hope to have a wonderful collection by the end of the year!
