Welcome to our 5th Grade website!  Hopefully this will serve as a great resource for you throughout the year. I've included links for research as well as extended practice.  Feel free to email me anytime with questions or information you'd like to share.

About Mrs. Troost:
I am a graduate of Eastern Michigan University, with a Major in Language Arts and a Minor in Science.  I have my Masters degree  from Wayne State in Reading.

My husband, Ed and I have 3 children: Cate, Emma, and Connor.  All of our childeren play sports and participate in multiple extra-curricular activities.  Believe me, I understand just how busy family life can be!!!

Although I originally began my career teaching 6th grade, I  started teaching here at Graham in 2000, before taking two years at home with my three small children while working on my Masters degree. Having taught every grade from second to sixth, at this point, I'm hoping to use as many resources as possible to help bridge next year's transition to middle school!
