Our School Wide Theme

Sharing

We read the book "Stone Soup" by Marcia Brown.  In the story the village people were afraid of the soldiers and didn't want to share their food with them so they hid it all.  The soldiers were very hungry.  They decided to make stone soup and got the people in the village to share their food with them.  When the soup was ready the soldiers in return shared it with the village people.

We then made stone soup in our classroom and shared the soup with our Fifth grade reading buddies from Mrs. Costanza's class, Mrs. Bergman, Ms. Christman and our custodian Mr. Andrew.
