About Miss Closs
This is my sixth year teaching at Graham Elementary. I taught second grade my first two year, looped up to third grade (kept the same class), and taught second grade again the past two years. I have undergraduate degrees in history and elementary education from Michigan State University. I earned my Master’s degree in literacy education from Michigan State University in 2007.
I am originally from the Lansing area, but dreamed of living in the Detroit area since I was young because there is so much to see and do! During my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going up north, reading, traveling, and playing and watching sports.
My family include my mom who is an elementary school librarian, my dad who is a professor at MSU, my sister who is a veterinarian, and all of our animals (3 cats and 2 dogs amongst all of us, only my cat Britain lives with me).
